Concert Band

San Juan Hills High School, SCSBOA Music Festival is Monday, March 22. All three of our concert bands (Period 1 Symphonic Band, Period 2 Concert Band and Period 4 Wind Ensemble)will be performing.Concert band will perform at 2:30 pm, Symphonic Band will perform at 4 pm and Wind Ensemble will perform at 8:30 pm. This is a free performance for all who attend. Please note that both our Concert and Symphonic Band will need to bring their concert attire and money for lunch with them to school next Monday. Concert and Symphonic Bands will take a bus to this event. Wind Ensemble students will either need to car-pool or have their parents drive them to this event and back home. CSUF Music Festival schedule is posted. If a parent is attending this event and wishes to take his/her child home, they may do so AFTER the CSUF Wind Ensemble performs, which should end around 6 pm. Please have the son or daughter bring Mr. Weinberg a note from the parent that the parent will be taking the student home and the student will not be traveling back on the bus. Students may ONLY go home with their parents and not another family. Our AREA Concert welcoming all the upcoming music students from our local middle schools and elementary schools is set for Tuesday, March 9th in the ANHS Gym. Orchestra Concert starts at 6pm. PARENTS: For those members who DID NOT PARTICIPATE IN MARCHING BAND, please read this memo explaining the transportation fee and make your check out to ANHS. Our Winter Concert is Thursday, Dec 10th at 7pm. Performing Holiday Music will be our Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Wind Ensemble. Remember to check the student schedule. Our Fall Concert is Monday, Oct 26th at 7pm in the Gym. Performing will be our Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Wind Ensemble

During the Fall season, some of the students participate with the Marching Band at several field competitions. The Strings join the Winds and Percussions for Concert Band. Course Syllabus/Handbook for the 2009-2010 season is now available. Until the 2009 series gets underway, check out the 2008 Concert Series Videos. SCSBOA All Southern Honor Band applications and information will be available. All applications must be received by SCSBOA no later than a <to be announced> date. CBDA All State Honor Band application and information will be available. Applications and recordings are due to the Band Director by a <to be announced> date.
